Orlando Climate
Orlando enjoys a sub-tropical climate. During summer months the weather is hot and humid, the average daytime temperature being around 90°F and 70-80°F at night. Summer is also the rainy season in Florida and many afternoons bring strong tropical storms which can sometimes bring heavy rainfall but are usually short lived. During winter months, Florida's reputation as the Sunshine State is very much deserved. There is very little rainfall, and most days are dry with plenty of sunshine.
Getting Around
We highly recommend that you book car hire in Orlando. Most Orlando attractions are well sign posted and very easy to get to, although traffic can be quite heavy on main routes in the morning and evening. For non drivers, the I-Drive is serviced by the I-Ride Trolley Bus, which runs the full 5 miles between SeaWorld and Beltz Outlet Mall and costs less than $1 a trip.
The LYNX public transport company will take you further afield, and covers most of Orlando with its brightly coloured buses. Lynx routes are symbolised by pink paw print signs. Most hotels provide shuttle buses to the major Orlando theme parks and attractions. Some routes are free and some require a charge - so check each individual hotel for details. Taxis are common all over Orlando.
Orlando Currency
Along with the rest of the USA the currency in Orlando is the US Dollar ($ or USD). Visitors will find no shortage of places to exchange currency, with most Orlando hotels as well as financial institutions happy to help.
