Orlando Travel Guide:

Shopping in Orlando

Shopping in Orlando is a must, with 8 major shopping malls holding over 700 shops. From themed boutiques to designer outlet malls, Orlando shopping is what shopaholics dream of. Below is a list of some of the best places to shop 'til you drop.

In the I-Drive area, we recommend the Beltz Factory Outlet Mall, Pointe Orlando and Mercado Mediterranean Village. Beltz is a 1,000,000 sq ft shopping and entertainment centre featuring brands exclusive to the Orlando area, with names such as Bass Pro Shops Outdoor World, Steve & Barry's University Sportswear, Ron Jon Surf Shop and Sheplers Western Wear.

There's also The Mall at Millenia, just off the I-4, which includes Bloomingdale's, Macy's and over 150 of the world's finest international stores, cafes and restaurants.

The Factory Stores at Lake Buena Vista (conveniently located just minutes from many Orlando theme parks, International Drive and Orlando International Airport) offer great designer discounts and Florida Mall's 270 fabulous stores and restaurants - including Saks Fifth Ave., Sears, JC Penny, Burdines, Lord & Taylor and Nordstrom - is a shopper's mecca which is very popular with tourists and Orlando shopping locals alike. Orlando Premium Outlets, Prime Outlets International and Prime Designer Outlet Center all offer massive savings on huge designer names, including Guess, Tommy Hilfiger, Burberry, Coach, Diesel, Dior, Armani, Fendi and more.

It is clear to see that, with such a vast choice of Orlando shopping options, travellers need to plan ahead. This is why many people will leave room in their luggage on their flights to Orlando so that, once they have exhausted themselves enjoying the Orlando shopping experience, they have room to carry their purchases back home.
