Getting Around

The easiest way to get around Amsterdam is on foot. It is a wonderfully walkable city, and most of its major sites are located either in or very near the city centre. If walking isn't your thing, public transport in Amsterdam is excellent. It is possible to book car hire in Amsterdam, however, biking is the preferred way to travel within the city, and, some would say, the only way to truly experience Amsterdam.
